Germany’s long-standing kit supplier Adidas will release one final football kit on November 3, marking the end of its historic partnership with the German Football Federation (DFB). Germany are expected to wear the new kit for the first time on November 16, when they face the Netherlands in their final Nations League group-stage match.

Adidas, based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, has supplied Germany’s kits since 1954, the year of the country’s famous “Miracle of Bern” World Cup triumph. The partnership is one of the longest-running kit deals in international football, with recent authentic Germany shirts featuring a woven “adidas Germany – Seit 1954” tag at the hem.

The DFB announced in 2024 that Nike would take over as Germany’s official kit supplier from 2027. The reported deal is worth around €100 million per year. The decision sparked criticism in Germany, with some political figures and fans questioning the move away from a partnership closely associated with the national team’s history.

From 2027, Nike will officially take over as Germany’s equipment supplier, bringing the iconic Adidas-DFB partnership to an end.
