Adidas has officially unveiled Argentina’s special 2026 Lionel Messi “Farewell” jersey, along with a matching collection inspired by the country’s iconic national flag. The release pays tribute to Messi’s remarkable career and enduring legacy with the Argentina national team.
The new Adidas Messi Argentina signature jersey offers a distinctive interpretation of the traditional Albiceleste design. It features a prominent white central stripe bordered by sky-blue panels on either side, while a horizontal line graphic creates a unique interpretation of Argentina’s iconic Sun of May motif.
One of the most notable changes appears on the chest. Instead of the traditional Adidas logo, Messi’s signature “M” logo is placed on the right side in metallic gold, sitting opposite the three-star AFA crest on the left.
The jersey also features a black crew-neck collar and matching sleeve cuffs, both highlighted by elegant gold piping. Adidas’ trademark white three stripes run along the shoulders, adding a classic touch to the otherwise commemorative design.
A special detail can be found on the upper back, just below the neckline. A gold Sun of May graphic surrounds Messi’s iconic number 10, creating a distinctive tribute to the Argentina captain.
The shirt is completed by a gold nameset outlined in black, using the font associated with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
